Founded by David and Margie Peña in 2000, Texas Reach Out Ministries is a local non-profit organization specializing in transitional housing for those released from prison and those who are homeless as a result of unsuccessful integration into society after an extended prison stay. After placement in a house, TROM pairs clients with mentors to promote the development of life and work skills.
Housing, mentor relationships, church involvement, life/job skills development, and job placement –TROM’s comprehensive approach represents an attempt to give these men and women a gospel-based “future of self-sufficiency.”
All Saints has a long-standing relationship with Texas Reach Out Ministries forged from congregant involvement. There are several ways for you to be involved: be a mentor, donate clothes, or provide transportation for the residents of Texas Reach Out’s houses.
